[ Good afternoon, Johto! How is that Christmas spirit going on? Going shopping for the perfect gifts, caroling, setting up a tree, these are staples of a Western Christmas. Well, Souji has been here for over a year and he has noticed that most people celebrate the holiday that way, so heck, he might as well try spending it like that too. He has tried it last year in Johto and it has been quite fun. Besides, a certain somebody has been trying to make him put more spirit into it and "fully celebrate" it. So, guess who is putting up Christmas lights on the Breeding Centre and has dragged his partner with it? ]

[ The camera spins from the dirt road to a

usedkunai, dressed all warmly and holding a line of lights out towards Souji all the way up on a ladder. The Riolu points it up to Souji who takes notice of it. ]

Yosuke, the camera. [ He points down at the gear which then swings down to Yosuke. ]

O-oh, it's on? [ He looks at the Riolu, who shakes the camera as he nods. ] Alright, well-- A little more warning would have been nice, but...

[ Yosuke grins, putting on his best salesman act. Don't worry, he's totally a pro at this. ] Come one, come all to the Breeding Centre's Merry Holiday Christmas Sale! All eggs will be buy one, get one free until Christmas. We'll also do gift wrapping, and same day delivery, just like always!

This special is a limited-time offer, so make sure you get the deal while it's hot! [ He winks at the camera. What a ham. He definitely sounds like Crazy Eddie. Please roll your eyes at him any time now. Once he finishes his spiel, the Riolu makes an affirmative sound, implying that he's done with the video. Spoiler: It's still on. ]

Well, that worked well enough, I guess. Maybe a little over the top, but we did kind of wait a while to actually do somethin-- Hey, are you ready for the next string of lights yet? [ Yosuke's brain-to-mouth filter is currently set to off, just happily blabbering his stream of consciousness. ]

[ Souji gives a small nod and outstretches a single hand, the other gripping the ladder. ] Yeah, pass them up. I should be able to cover this side of the centre with one more line.

[ Yosuke bends down to pick up a new line from the box, putting the whole thing in his arms. However, the problem with having an armful of things and having elbows stick out around a ladder is just asking for disaster, and as expected, there's one as he stands back up, he accidentally bumps the ladder just hard enough to give it a shake. ]

Hey-- whoa, whoa, ack!!

[ And without any surprise, Souji falls right off that ladder. Yosuke, being right in the path of damage lets out a pretty loud: ]

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!

[ He drops the lights, making an attempt to either catch Souji or get the hell out of the way... which one it is, Yosuke doesn't know, because there's not exactly much time for him to think. As this happens, the Riolu tries to catch its trainer by dropping the gear, shutting it off. ]

[ ... well. While Rise had the kindest of intentions in staying inside where it's nice and warm, her Senpai senses were tingling.

So it just so happens that she steps outside, just as Souji plummets down from Heaven and-- oh there goes Yosuke. ]

Oh my god, are you guys okay?!

[ Souji cradles his head with one hand, the other besides Yosuke's head. He lets out a small groan of pain before pushing himself off the other a few seconds later, sitting himself down on the snow. He's in too much pain to really care about the cold snow. ]

Yeah, I think I am. I just need a minute. How about you, Partner?

[FUCK. THAT HURT. This is also kind of awkward hello CONTACT IS A BIT TOO CLOSE RIGHT NOW.]

D-dude... wayyyy too close for comfort right now...

You mean aside from the potential concussion? [He says it with a groan, sitting up and rubbing his head.] I guess the snow kinda broke my fall, though...

[ Oh God, his head. Everything hurts. Man, and this week was going so well too. ]

Just give a half a minute. [ He lets out a groan of pain and thirty seconds later, he rolls off Yosuke, lying down on his back on the snow. Everything is dizzy and it hurts and he just rubs his head with one hand, eyes closed. ]

[Letting out a pained groan of his own. He waits, a bit tense until he feels the weight shift off of him before rubbing his eyes. Holy crap, how was that even a thing.]

Uuuurgh... my bad...

[ Souji is going to lie down for as long as he can. He knows that as soon as he gets up, he's going to get hit with a dizzy spell and it's just going to hurt even more. ]

It's fine... how's your head?

You know what it's like to get hit with electricity twice in a row? Kinda... like that. [Down and dizzy!]

[ Oh jeez, Souji has all the experience with that. When he equips the wrong Persona in the heat of the moment, especially in Heaven when he's just been so thrown off by everything. ]

Yeah, or hit with ice twice in a row. I haven't missed that feeling at all.

[Okay, that was... something.]

Are you guys alright?

[... please let there be no more injuries to his friends. It's enough that one is (not even mentioned that he himself still has a semi-big bruise on his cheek due to the damn Ice Path). ]

Geez, you really fell a ways... [ and you can tell, because she really does look worried. ]

... would the two of you need some help by any chance? I hope you haven't gotten hurt...

O-Oi!! I-Is everything okay?!

[He'd just been about to reply to the video and tease Yosuke for his sales pitch when he sees what's happening, and oh....that crash from outside is pretty hard to miss.

HANG ON, PUTTING ON AN EXTRA BURST OF SPEED TO RUN OUTSIDE.]

Yosuke?? Souji?!

[He remembers all too well. There were enough times he got an opening to run over and help Souji up, after all.]

I... never really had the problem with Ice, but yeah. [Wincing.] Hopefully everything stops spinning soon...

[Something indeed. Just give them a few minutes and Yosuke will reply, looking only a little winded.]

Crap, that was still on? ...Ye-yeah. The snow kinda broke my fall from the weight falling on me. [He's not going to mention that he smacked his head hard on the not fluffy ice, though.]

What uh... happened to you, anyways? You're not looking the best yourself, man.

[Jesus was all excited and stuff about the eggs...

But then his TIME TO WORRY sign started blinking. The eggs can wait.]

AH! Are you guys OK??

[This is the most embarrassing thing. Does all of Johto really always have to see all his clumsy moments?]

Just a few bumps and bruises, ahaha...

[The most uninspired laugh ever.]

Wh-- Help? [Shaking his head. Which makes him a little dizzy again, so he makes a face.] Nah, it's fine. It wasn't really that far of a fall...

Yep, totally fine, Misaki-san! We just love falling off ladders, you know? Ahahaha... [Which comes out a bit more sarcastic than he intended, but he didn't expect anyone to have seen that, let alone having a bunch of people reply.]

Oh, that's good. Would have been pretty bad if you got injured just before Christmas.

[And he'll look a bit awkward.] Ice Path happened.

[By the time Merlin gets outside, they'll have already separated, but Yosuke's just kind of laying, sprawled in the snow. WHY IS EVERYTHING SPINNING.]

Just another case of epic fail, dude. No worries...

[When he sees this, he's still a bit exasperated that Setanta left the feed running when it was supposed to be turned off. He's still a bit woozy from the fall, but he nods his head.]

Somehow, we managed to make it out of that one alive, hehehe.

[Siiiigh.] Yosuke, didn't we agree, no more disasters in the breeding center? Geez, are you guys okay?

[If she seems a bit insensitive to their pain, don't feel too offended -- she knows after facing off against massive Shadows and self-proclaimed goddesses, no fall from a ladder is going to take these two out. She's showing confidence in them, really.]
