[The video feed starts off with a really shaky start. The only sound you hear at first is that horrible muffling sound as fingers keep trailing over the mic. It’s clear that the owner has almost no idea what he’s doing. It finally focuses onto a young man with silver hair. He seems pretty calm for someone who just woke up in Johto, but still pretty confused.]

I think I got it on...This looks like one of Yosuke’s handheld game consoles, though I don’t remember a camera on it...

[He ponders to himself for a bit before shrugging, looking towards the camera.]

If this video is going out, does anyone know where I am? It doesn’t look like Inaba or the city...

I’m pretty used to this stuff and I wouldn’t surprised if this was a dream. Not like I didn’t have weird dreams just like this before, but the “mom” thing is new, and that I'm wearing my Inaba school uniform. I probably just fell asleep on the train.

[He shrugs once again, but keeps his small smile on. Weird dreams; he had them before. This wasn’t any worse than when Igor called him in his sleep. This dream was pretty mild compared to the flaming luchadors and the Velvet room, so whatever. Still kinda weird he has his uniform on. He came from the train where he was wearing normal clothes, right? Then what's up with the uni?]

But if anyone can tell me what’s going on, I’ll really appreciate it. Even if it's a dream, I would like to see if I can find any familiar faces...

[Naoto just stares for a minute and then she lights up like a Christmas tree.]

It's not a dream; you're in a place called Johto. We have as yet not discovered the means of our arrival here.

[Souji smiles. Even if it only been about a day, it's great to see a familiar face.]

Huh, guess that other person was telling the truth then, though it's pretty hard to believe. Is there anything else known about this place?

[There's a man in ancient clothing wandering around looking lost.

He trots over when he spots Souji.]

Excuse me-- Oh, what's that?

[He points to the 'gear]

Well, all I got was this bag. Don't think a monster could fit in this thing.

[He motions to his duffle bag. Guess who didn't check out his pokeball and Pokemon yet? This protagonist over here.]

Nice to meet you, Kazehana-san. My name is Seta Souji.

[He makes a small bow of his head at the screen. He's pretty polite even now.]

Souji-San, let me show you something.

[She chuckles a bit, picking one of her pokeballs and showing it to him.]

You should have one of these in your bag. Inside of them, there is a pokemon!

[Souji turns around and sees...what's up with the ancient clothes? He didn't think anyone wore those things anymore.]

This thing? I think it's some phone or communication device. I kinda got it figured out.

[He holds the gear outward to the strange man.]

[Naoto goes into detective mode]

If you played that Pokémon game when you were younger you should be familiar with some of the creatures here. This is not the same land as the game but the... mechanics work almost identically.

I am two towns away at present. The next town is about three days away, and the one after is about a week's travel. You should have enough food to reach Cherrygrove if you ration your supplies.

You also will find a partner in one of the balls in your pack. It will aid you against the wide ones that will attack on the road.

[And Souji starts looking around in his bag. Oh hey, there is something like that ball. He pulls it out and tosses it up and down a few times.]

Huh, how do you the Pokemon out?

[He looks confused as a kid who was being taught how to start writing. Alright sensei, he got a pencil. Now what?]

[All right, he's just like Theo now. Listen to Kazehana-Sensei!]

You poke it in the middle to make it bigger and call out for it. Like this! Mithra, go!

[She throws her pokeball at the air and a Kadabra appears on the screen.]

Oh! A phone; I know what those are! You can talk to your friends with them when they aren't in the same room! There are so many magic things in this time!

[He sounds so proud to know that.] Oh yes please! I can tell Hikaru the good news!

[Wait...] ...but I don't know how to use it.

[And Sai immediately goes from super happy to pretty depressed.]

[Souji just nods and listens like a good student. Alright, he thinks he got most of that.]

I never played the game before, but I heard of it. Yosuke probably knows of it.

Alright, I'll start to move to the next town as soon as I look around here. There's not much to see here though.

[Quick! Someone get him a Velvet room uniform!

Souji just kinda stares for a few seconds. Huh...Okay, he guess he can do something like that. He does the exact same thing without the whole yelling business, feeling rather silly. Poof! Here's a Skarmory in yo face, spreading its wings. It's safe to say that he's pretty surprised, though calm.]

That's...pretty neat. So, this one's mine?

[*Goes to get one*

She smiles and looks at the Skarmory. They are pretty, okay?]

Yes! You can use them to fight the wild ones and with empyy Pokeballs, [She picks one of her empty ones.] you can catch them. Also, you can give them nicknames too!

[....Strange guy...Well, good thing Souji's kind and all. He's just going to open the gear up and point to a button.]
