[ souji smiles at tatsuma's answer and after shifting a bit to get cream-san tucked away in a single arm, he uses his now free hand to grab onto tatsuma's ]
This way.
[ he whispers (but like that matters with the cats) and quickly drags him away so they can make their escape! up the stairs and into souji's room where they can shut the door behind them and where the cats cannot enter. ]
I don't want to overstay my welcome and I feel like it'd be rude to stay for any longer than restocking your supplies or saying "hi" to Kawaii-san without asking.
[Tatsuma follows quickly enough, feeling a bit bad about the cats who weren't fast enough to catch the treats, but... on the other hand, there's no way he could have kept track of each of the cats well enough to give them treats separately, not like that. He knows when he's met his match, and right now it involves eleven cats.
Once they're in, he breathes a soft sigh of relief, bag still firmly in grip because it's not as though there was any safe place to drop it along the way. Cream-san is surely going to get spoiled rotten here.]
I got Secchan to agree, so there's a few things I'd like answered.
1. What is our pay? 2. If there's a costume we don't like, may we pass on it? (I am willing to wear most things that Secchan does not.) 3. How seriously will you be taking this? We are professionals, Souji. There are other jobs we may take over this if you aren't giving it your all. 4. How frequently will you be needing us?
[ souji repeats with a nod. he walks over to his bed and sits down, patting the spot next for him to signal for tatsuma to sit with him. he then lowers cream-san from his arms to place on his lap ]
1. Hot homemade meals along with a portion of whatever profits we may get 2. Of course, you may pass for any costumes 3. To be completely honest, it was 50-50 but now it's about 75-25 on serious-not serious 4. How often are you two available?
It's going to be a little hard since you said that you don't have a poker face but your best bet is to just see how she interacts with you compared to others.
Does she laugh at a lot of your jokes? Does she spend a lot more time with you than others? Does she stand close to you or make physical contact? You have to notice these kind of things.
Please. Secchan is a business-orientated young man, of course he'd agree if there was a chance at negotiation... but he really did agree rather easily after he said he wouldn't, so maybe I do have some influence over him. Let's not tease him about it, of course.
Those seem acceptable. Secchan won't like it if you aren't taking it absolutely seriously, on the other hand, so at least pretend you're putting thought into the direction of your magazine, whether it becomes a series or remains a one shot. I do approve of lightening the atmosphere though.
As for availability... the holiday seasons are the busiest for models like ourselves; I don't even have time to really spend with Akira or on myself because of it, and sometimes I wish I was still a rookie in the industry. While they do get offered some amount of work, it's still nothing compared to what Secchan and the other veterans are asked to do. You may wish to speak to him about such matters and I'll simply fall in line where I can.
I do apologize if it means that the release of your magazine is put off for a little bit. Our agency does come first, after all.
Oh, actually, speaking of rookies... We've recently gained a new face in the agency, so I was wondering if it would be alright to include him as well? I'll extend the offer to him myself, seeing as we're both models, but I think it'd be nice to have an unknown face among ours. He'll probably be easier to work with too, honestly, availability and compromise-wise.
I admit that I'm still quite unsure whether or not that this magazine will become a full-blown series or if it will be strictly a one-time issue, but I will definitely keep you updated on what it becomes. If it is the former then we look into drafting a contract for us and Sena.
I completely understand that you must put your agency first. As long as I am given reasonable notice that you are not able to attend a photoshoot then I will be completely fine with this. I appreciate that you were upfront about this and that you have chosen to be honest with me.
My magazine is always looking for more models so of course, I am willing to accept new faces. What is his name? If you can tell him to contact me and say that he was referred by you then I can definitely get him on board for the project.
[Thank you for reading the Akechi Terms and Conditions, Souji... What a put together answer too, it's kind of exciting him.]
Being upfront with a client is pure courtesy, you know. If I can't be frank with someone employing me, I'll be unhappy. Thank you for your understanding as well, Souji-san.
It's Arashi Narukami. He's quite the looker, I can assure you.
.. Admittedly, Goro's done some investigative work on their fresh face, but that sort of thing doesn't matter now; if Arashi wants the work, then Goro will be more than happy to help, even if Arashi has technically been in the industry before. It's working from the bottom up.]
[He nods yes, already reaching out with one hand to pet her and keeping the other low to support her as she's handed over.
And he'll actually pet her for a bit, allowing her to lap off the treat residue to her content before he speaks up again, not even looking up from the cat in his arms.]
[ ah... as tatsuma asks about his neck, souji raises a hand to gently place a few fingers against the healed burn. he looks downwards with a small melancholic smile ]
It’s actually all right if she doesn’t have a hidden crush on you. All we need to know is whether or not she’ll be okay with dating you or the idea of it.
I’m pretty sure my boyfriend didn’t have a crush on me but we were good friends and he liked spending time with me. So when I asked him out on a date, he agreed and we decided to get together after that.
