Think you can rock both a suit in the Mr. section and a cute skirt in the crossdressing section? Then sign up for both! A drop-dead gorgeous dress in the Miss section but a rugged biker look in the crossdressing section? Then go for it! There are absolutely no limitations on sign-ups! Just sign up quick because the event will be held one week from now on March 25th, so don't miss your chance of a lifetime!
All winners will receive one chance to remember, but keep in mind, this event is open to the public, so don't let some random person take away your opportunity to remember something important!

OOC SIGN-UP POST
This is the OOC sign-up and information post in regards to the pageant! Even if your character won't be a participant in the pageant, there still might be something your character can do during the event, so check out all the details under this link. The following details have been worked out with the mods and with their permission, so let's get rolling!
→ Beauty pageant?
That's right! Retrospec will be hosting its first annual beauty pageant with their own respective Mr., Miss, and Crossdressing sections. The city-wide event will be hosted by Souji Narukami, but sponsored by Retrospec.
→ Who can participate?
Absolutely anyone! Whether your character is a high school student, an adult, an old-timer, this event is free for anyone to sign up. There are a few activities that non-participants can do during the event, so it is as open as it can possibly be.
→ Do we need to comment to the IC sign-up post to join the event?
Not at all. As long as you just comment here, you'll be completely fine. The IC post is completely optional!
→ When will it take place?
The actual log for the event will go up on March 25th. The sign-ups, however, will take place right now, with the last day to sign-up your characters for the event being on March 24, 11:59PM EST. This deadline is for organizational purposes and to select the winners, so if you'd like to participate, please get your comment in before then.
→ What are the events of the pageant for those participating?
Answering questions from the crowd, showing off a skill, public humiliation, and of course, being at the whim of the crowd who able to give ratings from 1 to 10 with the little whiteboards that they'd be given (Retrospec or Souji are not responsible for any damaged egos or assaults that will be occurring during these rankings).
→ How will the winners be determined?
Winners will be randomly selected for each section of the pageant and will be announced with the log.
→ What do the winners get?
The winners of each section will win a prize for a "chance to remember", which is one memory regain without a required trigger.
→ Got a shy character or a character who wouldn't actively sign up?
Not to worry! Players have two options:
1) they can have another character ICly sign them up, or
2) to have Retrospec accidentally submit their names in various sections through a glitch - Souji will not be able to tell the difference between actual submissions and glitched out ones
→ Have a character who wouldn't participate in the pageant whatsoever? Or wants to do more during the event?
There are many other things your character can do instead of being up on the stage: be a volunteer make-up artist, help participants with their outfits, rate those up on stage (with a whiteboard that all members of the audience are given), and such on.
Want to do something a little more serious? Souji has been already gathering a few people to help search for any representatives of Retrospec in the audience during the event because after all, if the event is being sponsored by them, wouldn't there be a few employees? If your character is interested in helping out with this, please specify it within the comment form below. Souji has only been discussing these plans in person and is refusing to speak about it over the network, so if your character hasn't talked about this with Souji, let me know and we'll work something out!
Note: Unfortunately, these activities are not eligible for the chance to earn a non-triggered memory regain. Only those who are participating in the pageant and are winners of their respective sections are able to have the chance to win. Sorry about that!

→ Will they actually be able to find any employees of Retrospec during the event?
As of this time, it is impossible to identify any Retrospec representatives so unfortunately, this will be a failed mission :( At least they tried!
→ How about the Janet person named on the letter Souji got? Can they be found?
For those who have spoken with Souji in his latest info gathering log and have been shown the letter, they will see that it has been signed by someone named 'Janet W'. Her handwriting is, unfortunately, terrible so it is not clear what her last name is.
If any searches are done, there are more than a few Janet W's in Recolle, but none of them seem to be anyone in association with Retrospec. The top search is a Janet Wagner who runs a yoga studio so unless someone is up for some yoga, this is probably not a useful Janet.
