Why is he like this?

Well, the camera pans around and-- oh! Look POKEMON EGGS!

He's pretty much swamped with Pokemon eggs. They are just everywhere. The beds, the chairs, the floor. Yeah, it's pretty bad. His Pokemon asides from Gible looks pretty guilty in the background, even the huge Gyarados outside that's looking through the little window. They all have this guilt-stricken look...except his Ditto which is just grinning like it just did the greatest thing ever. It doesn't take much to figure out what has happened, and oh, did we mention this Ditto is just giving this smug look to the camera?

What a douche.]

Hey guys...

[A pause....how does he word this...]

Long story short: I found a Ditto in my box, left it in my room with my other Pokemon to let it know each other, came back from shopping an hour or later, and found this....

[Just...Just give him a few seconds to facepalm again and stop looking so damn proud, Ditto.]

So, does anyone want any eggs? I got eggs from a Jynx, a Skarmory, a Gyarados, and a Charmeleon.

Just...take your pick. I can't keep all of these... Just give me any offer. I'm more concerned about trying to find homes for all of these guys than anything else. I'll just have my Skarmory deliver them if you're somewhere other than Violet City.

[Manners clearly have been pummeled into this guy. Sort of. Clearly he'd never taken having to deal with pokemon into account. As long as they're staying occupied and aren't causing trouble, however, it's all good. And he doesn't HEAR any eggs breaking (thankfully)...]

Well, that being the case, I'd gladly give one of them a home. I only have two to look after myself, and now that I'm making steady progress on my travels I have more than enough to feed the three of us. Four shouldn't be a problem.

Is there something in particular you'd like as payment?

[Souji just nods and looks over Sebastian's shoulder, keeping his hands into his pockets.]

Yeah, they are. These Charmander ones aren't that hot-- just really warm. I'll still be careful though.

The Gyarados? [He points to the giant dragon outside.] Yeah, I still got some left over. Though I have to warn you that training it to that form can be pretty frustrating.

[Souji is too kind hearted to keep it a secret.]

[Souji closes the door and just facepalms for a second.]

Yeah...Apparently some other guy's Ditto did the exact same thing, so I'm starting to suspect it might be the species...

My companion had a Growlithe egg that was fairly hot. [ He lays his palm carefully against the egg, then lifts it up to study it. ]

I can take five or six more off your hands until you can place them, if only to free up some space in your room.

[Oh God, this is totally bringing back memories of his own Magikarp. In fact, the Gyarados outside just /(｡*‿*｡)\ of its happy days.]

Yeah, I'm good. Can't be much worse than all the slaps to the face mine did.

[Souji actually finds that adorable, speaking to the egg. Awww.]

Make sure to keep it warm and walk around with it to make it hatch faster. Hopefully you'll see it when it hatches. [Nanao probably already knows this, but he just can't help but tell her. Call it a force of habit from trying to find homes for all of those stray cats back in Inaba.]

[Souji was jammed with manners too, so they can bond over that. Awww yeah and he just shakes his head.]

You don't need to pay me much. Some people are paying with an egg of their own, but just P100 is good.
