What is the Breeding Centre?
It's a business started by Souji Seta that expanded from Johto to Kanto in which him and the employees breed a number of Pokemon then sell their eggs to other trainers. There are some common eggs while there are some rare ones too. You never know.
Uh, why is the centre called "Yu and Yuudai Breeding Centre"? I've thought Souji started the centre.
The name of the centre actually has a story behind it. That being all started in this thread between Souji and Yosuke. Long story short; Souji accidentally got the wrong business cards that were titled 'Yu Narukami' and soon, they've made a new nickname for Yosuke, that being 'Yuudai'. The rest is history.
Are there any advertisements for the Breeding Centre?
There are, in every city in Johto and most in Kanto. They consist of posters, bulletin boards, NPCs talking, and so on. It's actually rather hard to miss it all.
When do you guys add a new Pokemon species to the list of eggs?
It really depends but normally not for a while until one of the characters either donates some eggs or volunteers their Pokemon to be bred. Keep an eye out for the breeding community for updates.
Wait, we can donate eggs to the centre?
Indeed you can. If your character has some extra eggs left over or some other reason, they can drop off the eggs at the Breeding Centre where they will be sold.
Can our characters sell their eggs via the Breeding Centre?
They can and they will get 80% of the sales. It might not be as much as selling them on their own, but this is a method they can use.
Why did the newbie deal shrink down from three free eggs to just one?
This was mainly due to concern that the Breeding Centre is overpowering the new trainers and "cheating". Sorry about that.
What exactly is this 'newbie deal' you're talking about?
Characters that have just arrived in Johto can get one free egg of their choice (except for the infrequent batch of eggs that are indicated with a * sign next to their number of eggs) to help them out on their journey. Characters must have been in Route for a month or less to have this offer apply to them.
How come they can't choose infrequent eggs?
Mainly because those eggs are of rarer Pokemon, ones you can't catch in the wild and/or a lot of trainers don't have them. Most of these apply to the new Unova region Pokemon, as they have only been recently brought into the game.
When does a new batch of infrequent eggs normally come in?
There is no certain or actual time, but normally after two-three months or so. I'll be updating the breeding community with updates so keep an eye out!!
Why is this egg so cheap/expensive? It should cost more/less!!
I try to price each Pokemon accordinly on how rare they are, as if you can catch them in the wild or can only get them in a different region or event. However, if you do think that the prices should be different, give me a comment under this thread!!
I've noticed that on the Breeding Centre entry, there's a list of helpers. Who are they?
These are players who help me answer the comments left on the Breeding Centre, both for ic and ooc, as I normally don't have the time to reply back to everything in a quickly manner.

Where is the Goldenrod branch located?
It's near the entrance of Goldenrod City and very hard to miss due to the fact that it has a shop connected to a small house in the back. The Foster Home is right next doors to its right.
Can my character get a job at this centre and how do we discuss about it?
Yes, any character can indeed get a job at the centre and since it's hiring 24/7, anyone can get a job. Just send me a pm over Souji's account and we can talk about it.
What jobs are there and how much would they get paid?
There's paperwork, supervising the eggs, handling the phone calls and staying behind the counter, cleaning up, and delivery. Everyone gets paid the same amount, that being P750/hour. However, if your character wants to stay at a room next doors at the Breeding Centre House, then the pay is P500/hour.
Wait, Breeding Centre House?
Right next doors to the Breeding Centre, to its left, is a large house that Souji has bought for employees to live in if they like. They will have to share a room with one or two other people, but it's a room nevertheless with a nice bed. They might even get a few free meals if they ever come across Souji. Plus, it's a great way to make some more CR!!
However, there sometimes might noy have any room left. Contact me and I'll tell you if it is or not, or we can figure something out.
Is it okay if they don't live in the Breeding Centre House?
Completely fine. It's just there as an option.

Whoa, what's this new Breeding Centre? Are there two now?
Yes, starting as of June 1st, another Breeding Centre under the same name ('Yu and Yuudai Breeding Centre') will be open in the biggest city in Kanto; Celadon.
What was the point of that? Can't Pokemon eggs just be transferred over by using the PC?
This is mainly for the trainers travelling along Kanto's routes and to get the egg(s) delivered to them as soon as possible, as it can take a day or longer to have a Pokemon fly from Johto to Kanto. It's also to encourage more characters to move out to Kanto and branch off.
Where is the new branch located?
It's located at the heart of Celadon City, just a few blocks from the Game Corner and department store.
And who's running it? Is Souji going to be running back and forth?
Souji will mainly be staying in Goldenrod and managing over that centre. He just doesn't have that much time to keep running back and forth, and it's really draining, so he has placed the Celadon branch under Saber's supervision. Saber's journal is
So, do the same things apply to this centre like the one in Goldenrod?
Most of it does, yes. The pay is the same, the kind of jobs are the same, the eggs they sell are the same, there are only a few small differences.
What are these differences?
The main one will be the living space. Unlike the one in Goldenrod, there is no house next doors to the Celadon branch, at least not a house that Souji has bought. Instead, there are rooms upstairs in the house connected to the shop. The employees are more than free to sleep there, decreasing their pay to P500/hour.
I'm interested in having my character work at the Celadon branch. How will this work out?
Exactly as how it'll work out if you want to have your character work in the Goldenrod branch; contact me via a PM to Souij's account and we'll discuss it there.
My character has just arrived in the game for about a month and they want to work at this branch instead of Goldenrod's. Is that okay?
It's rather preferred if you don't have your character suddenly jumping into Kanto and roam Johto more, but this is allowed.
How will the travel fees to Celadon be handled out?
Mainly, your own character will have to pay the costs to get there by buying a pass. Since it's a pricey thing, Souji can't afford to pay for every single new employee. However, for now until May 31st, any character that is applying for a position in Celadon, their fees will be covered by Souji, but only then.
How does this affect our characters as the customers? Will there be changes done to the voicemail?
As of June 1st, every ic and ooc comment to the Breeding Centre enter will have to have either Johto or Kanto listed in the subject.

What's the point of that?
That's to help us know which employees can answer the phone or not. It wouldn't make too much sense for the people working at Goldenrod to answer the Kanto calls, would it? So please do not forget to do this!

What the heck is this?
It's a reward system for customers coming to buy things at the Breeding Centre. Every character is given a little card that will hold all their points and can be exchanged for prizes.
How do we get points?
You get them by just buying things! For every P10 spent, your character gets 1 point. So, if they buy P650 worth of eggs, they'll get 65 points.
Do we have to keep track of our own character's points?
Actually, you don't. I'll be handling all of it and the list will be frequently of everyone's points over here.
So, what kind of prizes can they get?
The list of prizes are right here so go take a look and see what your character might fancy!

Is the delivery free and where is it limited to?
Delivery is indeed free and it's not limited at all. The Breeding Centre will delivery your prize to every city and route in both Johto and Kanto. Hurray!!

What is the Foster Home?
Exactly like what you think it is; a foster home but just for Pokemon. After a character drops from the game, they have a choice to leave their Pokemon at the home so while they're no longer in the game, their Pokemon are and it's a little piece left behind.
The Foster Home was originally done by someone else, wasn't it?
The person who has managed the home originally was Merlin from BBC's Merlin with Souji helping. The idea came from the both of us, but after Merlin has dropped from the game, the torch got passed over to Souji.
How do we put Pokemon into the Foster Home?
You simply fill out the form in the Foster Home's entry and just comment under whichever section you want your Pokemon in; UNADOPTABLE or ADOPTABLE.
Is there only one Foster Home in Goldenrod? What about Kanto?
Sadly, there is only one Foster Home and it's in Johto. Souji can't afford to get another house for Kanto as of this moment, so all the Pokemon will be transferred over to Goldenrod's home.
Does this mean characters in Kanto can't leave their Pokemon at the Foster Home since the Celadon branch doesn't have one?
Actually, they can, but they will be sent over to the Goldenrod's branch to be taken care of. Your character can just send their Pokemon to Celadon's centre and the people there will handle the transferring.
Hey, I've said my character's Pokemon are going to the Foster Home in my drop post. They're not here!!
I'm just one person, so I cannot be able to grab every single drop post and search out for what Pokemon are heading to the Foster Home or not. I don't know their personalities, their stats, if the info on the character's journal is up to date, I'm afraid I'll have to ask the players themselves to fill out the forms and comment.

Are we allowed to put holds on certain Pokemon? I don't have a character that meets the requirements yet.

Can we adopt more than one Pokemon?
Yes, there are no limits as to how many you'll like to adopt. Just try to seem reasonable and not adopt ten at a time.
Can my character still qualify for having higher level Pokemon, even if they were from others?
As long as the Pokemon are under that character's ownership, then it can count.
My character was dropped out of the game and they left their Pokemon at the Foster Home. Is it possible they can pick them back up?
Indeed they can. You just have to give me a heads-up via a PM about this or comment under the 'QUESTIONS/CONCERN' thread to ask. However, do know that if you have put the character's Pokemon under 'ADOPTABLES', you will not be able to get back the Pokemon that have been already adopted.
After I adopt the Pokemon, can I change their name to something else?
You can, but it might take a while for the Pokemon to get used to it, or it might refuse for its name to be changed. It depends on each Pokemon so take a look at its nature and/or personality and see.
Can we have our characters work at the Foster Home?
Only as volunteers. There is no pay from working at the Foster Home, but you do get the love of many trainerless Pokemon and free food that Souji might cook up. That has to be worth it, right?
Where is the Foster Home located?
In Goldenrod City, near the entrance of the city. It's next door to the Breeding Centre, so it won't be too hard to find.
