[ Good afternoon, Johto! How is that Christmas spirit going on? Going shopping for the perfect gifts, caroling, setting up a tree, these are staples of a Western Christmas. Well, Souji has been here for over a year and he has noticed that most people celebrate the holiday that way, so heck, he might as well try spending it like that too. He has tried it last year in Johto and it has been quite fun. Besides, a certain somebody has been trying to make him put more spirit into it and "fully celebrate" it. So, guess who is putting up Christmas lights on the Breeding Centre and has dragged his partner with it? ]

[ The camera spins from the dirt road to a

usedkunai, dressed all warmly and holding a line of lights out towards Souji all the way up on a ladder. The Riolu points it up to Souji who takes notice of it. ]

Yosuke, the camera. [ He points down at the gear which then swings down to Yosuke. ]

O-oh, it's on? [ He looks at the Riolu, who shakes the camera as he nods. ] Alright, well-- A little more warning would have been nice, but...

[ Yosuke grins, putting on his best salesman act. Don't worry, he's totally a pro at this. ] Come one, come all to the Breeding Centre's Merry Holiday Christmas Sale! All eggs will be buy one, get one free until Christmas. We'll also do gift wrapping, and same day delivery, just like always!

This special is a limited-time offer, so make sure you get the deal while it's hot! [ He winks at the camera. What a ham. He definitely sounds like Crazy Eddie. Please roll your eyes at him any time now. Once he finishes his spiel, the Riolu makes an affirmative sound, implying that he's done with the video. Spoiler: It's still on. ]

Well, that worked well enough, I guess. Maybe a little over the top, but we did kind of wait a while to actually do somethin-- Hey, are you ready for the next string of lights yet? [ Yosuke's brain-to-mouth filter is currently set to off, just happily blabbering his stream of consciousness. ]

[ Souji gives a small nod and outstretches a single hand, the other gripping the ladder. ] Yeah, pass them up. I should be able to cover this side of the centre with one more line.

[ Yosuke bends down to pick up a new line from the box, putting the whole thing in his arms. However, the problem with having an armful of things and having elbows stick out around a ladder is just asking for disaster, and as expected, there's one as he stands back up, he accidentally bumps the ladder just hard enough to give it a shake. ]

Hey-- whoa, whoa, ack!!

[ And without any surprise, Souji falls right off that ladder. Yosuke, being right in the path of damage lets out a pretty loud: ]

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!

[ He drops the lights, making an attempt to either catch Souji or get the hell out of the way... which one it is, Yosuke doesn't know, because there's not exactly much time for him to think. As this happens, the Riolu tries to catch its trainer by dropping the gear, shutting it off. ]

(( ooc: both Souji and Yosuke will be replying to this mess of a post! For action tags, they will be set after the two of them get off of each other and stand. ))

[And then after a minute, he pauses, humming the theme's tune for a second........ what have you done, Minato.]

I can't remember the last time I wound up getting that song stuck in my head. [Another laugh.] It's about as catchy at the Junes song...

[Give him a sec. Just because singing it is fairly embarrassing. It definitely doesn't have the same zing it is does on the TV ads, that's for sure.]

Every day's great at your Junes! ♫ [And then humming some of the music that plays in the ads.] A... hahaha... yeah...

[ If he were anyone else, Minato would snort right now-- maybe even outright laugh. But nothing happens outwardly but a tiny twitch of his lip up in one corner, the only betrayal that he found that intensely amusing. ]

Oh yeah. That one.

You totally did that on purpose, didn't you. [Rude.]

Not at all.

[ Yes. Entirely. ]

[Pained groan. He does not believe that after Minato's reaction.]

Dude, that is so wrong...

I dunno. You've got a good voice.

[ HEH HEH HEH ]

[Stop trollin'!! He is a sensitive boy..........]

Yeah, I bet the Junes theme is a great way to assess something like that. [Sigh.]

Well...

[ Nahhh. ]

You could sing something else.

I-I guess? I, uh... generally leave the singing to Rise.

[ Every time, that name makes him pause. He almost says the usual 'you know Risette?' but by now, it's obvious. Girl's got Inaba ties! ]

Mm. Her voice is great.

I knoooow! [Fanboy mode. It's go.] Man, it doesn't even matter that she's like, one of my best friends. I still can't deny that I'm just a fan. She's awesome!

[ His brother from another mother right here. It's like Junpei...except without the sweet hat! ]

Yeah, she is. Bummer her concert got cancelled.

[He doesn't need a hat. He's just that swa-- hahahsa]

Cancelled? [Reminded of her mentioning that once.] Did it have something to do with a power outage?

Yeah, it did.

Hehehe, I remember her mentioning something like that once. I mean... I guess it could've been anywhere though.

[ Giant electric monsters have a funny way of implanting themselves on a dudes memory! ]

If you say so, man. [Shrugs. He has no idea!] Though I guess it's pretty easy to remember power outages like that, especially if you have plans.

Mm. Good thing I hadn't gotten my ticket yet.

At least you didn't lose any money then. Kind of a shame you didn't get to see her though, huh?

[ A little bit. And that tone suggests that this outcome is way better. ]

Hehehe, I bet. That girl knows everyone.

[Any outcome where you get to know an idol in person is way better. Though he is curious.]
