[ souji wouldn’t be a proper businessman if his texts weren’t all professional sounding, even if they’re talking about a magazine that will literally be nothing but cats, kandams, sexy questionable costumes, and other strange related things ]
Ah, I am familiar with Arashi. I have a friendly relationship with him online.
All Narukamis are handsome fellows so I can certainly have him become a model for the magazine without much fuss.
Why not gyudon? Relatively simple, and I ought to have most of the ingredients, if not all (though I suspect you might have a better idea of what I have in my pantry, hm?)
[His voice remains casual as he continues to cuddle Cream-san in his arms. This isn't an interrogation, and he's not about to make it such. How much or how little Souji divulges is entirely up to him, but...
[ ... this comes with a small pause as souji has to type all this out ]
I don't know if this was near the end of the case or not but I just remembered battling a goddess. She's called Izanami-no-Okami and I believe she's the goddess of death.
She was difficult to battle. It seemed like none of our attacks were even affecting her and in the end, she dragged our entire team underneath. Each one our team members pushed us aside whenever she tried to do it to us but she eventually got us too.
... there's still a lot of gaps between our memories. We don't know if either one of our memories is the end of our journey in Inaba and what the circumstances are.
[ should it have been earlier in the year or if tatsuma was just a friend, souji might not have said anything. he had a bad habit of bottling things up, refusing to show any sides of weakness or to let others worry about him. he's been getting much better at it these days, after being told countless times that he's doing no one any favours but himself but it's still hard. to go for years upon years of handling things on his own, he still has troubles opening up but this is tatsuma. in a relationship, they shouldn't hide things, right? and tatsuma has been one of the only people he could open up to, with the things about moving constantly and how he never had any friends before recolle, so this shouldn't be something that he should hide from him. ]
[ so he admits it, his fingers still gently over the healed scar ]
A friend of mine was practising his new fire powers. It was going well at first but he eventually lost control and he hit me. Of course, it was an accident and Yu was nearby to heal me right after, but even our Personas have limits so the scar remained since that day.
[ Yu stares at his phone for a long moment, but it's not his phone he's seeing. It's the faces of his friends, their quiet voices that sounded somehow dampened by the fog.
He knows that was the end of his journey. Pulling away as his friends stood on the platform and watched him leave before they were all swallowed by the fog that had never left, his bag over his shoulder... no, he was going home.
You really are leaving us. You know, it was over too quick.
Why was Teddie missing...? Why wasn't ... Dojima there ... ?
There's a cold pit in his stomach that hasn't closed up since he woke up with the memory still playing behind his eyelids, echoing in his ears.
[ souji can only imagine what yu is thinking behind the screen, probably thinking of the memory that he just gotten, similar to the same way that souji had to deal with the feeling of dread and helplessness when he got back his own memory. he can't leave yu alone during this ]
[ he doesn't really want to see or speak to anyone, at the moment, but he knows better than to spurn souji right now. especially after everything they've been through this year. they need to be open with each other...
... even if ...
well, true to his word, Yu will be waiting at the edge of campus, hiding half his face in the warm, fluffy scarf he's wearing. he's engrossed in his phone, fiddling with it with one glove off. ]
[He nods, remembering the power of Souji's Persona that healed him after the accident. He doesn't doubt it was able to stave off the pain of such an injury, even if the mark was regrettably left behind.
He raises his head to look at Souji properly, fingers still curled in Cream-san's fur.]
You aren't upset?
[He doesn't sense any resentment behind Souji's words, at least.]
Let's settle for "well cooked", shall we, and not set the bar too high. If nothing else, it'll mean that I'm guaranteed to be stunned when you surpass that.
(And no, I haven't, though I don't know where you're getting the money for this).
[Ragna stares at the ground where the lightning hit, not sure whether he should be cursing his luck or thanking it for saving his life. If he'd been walking a little faster, he'd be a crisp by now...
Looking up at the sound of a familiar voice, the man's expression of shock (no pun intended) turns back to the usual frown. How come he did not see this one coming?]
... Just peachy. Can't you tell?
[He snarls in response, straightening himself to try and appear cool and composed, though the truth is his beating a mile a goddamn minute.]
Why is it that every time we meet I almost get killed?!
[ he shakes his head, his hand finally dropping from his neck and moving to pet cream-san in tatsuma's arms. he doesn't exactly look at tatsuma as he speaks, just focusing on cream-san for now, with his voice still having that same tone of melancholy ]
No. It was partially my fault anyway and I knew that he would never hurt me in any other circumstances. Plus, my friend... he took it the hardest. He didn't answer any of his texts and his brother contacted me trying to find him. I had to seek him out in order to finally talk to him and it looked like he didn't get a wink of sleep, so I know how much he regretted it and the amount of guilt he held over the incident. It was just an unfortunate accident and there's no way I could hold that over him.
[ then he gives a small laugh as he says this next part ]
At least the scar will make me look tough and adds character.
