[He nods, remembering the power of Souji's Persona that healed him after the accident. He doesn't doubt it was able to stave off the pain of such an injury, even if the mark was regrettably left behind.

He raises his head to look at Souji properly, fingers still curled in Cream-san's fur.]

You aren't upset?

[He doesn't sense any resentment behind Souji's words, at least.]

[ he shakes his head, his hand finally dropping from his neck and moving to pet cream-san in tatsuma's arms. he doesn't exactly look at tatsuma as he speaks, just focusing on cream-san for now, with his voice still having that same tone of melancholy ]

No. It was partially my fault anyway and I knew that he would never hurt me in any other circumstances. Plus, my friend... he took it the hardest. He didn't answer any of his texts and his brother contacted me trying to find him. I had to seek him out in order to finally talk to him and it looked like he didn't get a wink of sleep, so I know how much he regretted it and the amount of guilt he held over the incident. It was just an unfortunate accident and there's no way I could hold that over him.

[ then he gives a small laugh as he says this next part ]

At least the scar will make me look tough and adds character.

[The smile Tatsuma gives in turn is a sad, if gentle one. If it were him, he'd likely do the same - he's not really in any position to judge Souji because of it.

Friends are friends, and accidents? Definitely not something he could ever hold a grudge over.

He'll let Souji focus on petting her on the head, his own hand closer to the base of her neck. Spoiling this cat rotten in the middle of their talks.]

They're nice scarves, too.

[He shifts closer to Souji, all the easier for more Cream-san pets.]

If you show it or not... It's up to you. [He realizes the problems that could crop up from having the scars on display, just as he realizes why Souji didn't want to bring it up in the first place.]

[It's. An Attempt to lighten the mood just a little.]

[ the attempt is successful because it gets a small laugh from souji. with tatsuma shifting closer, souji leans his head against tatsuma's, resting it there as he continues to pet cream-san (who is loving all this attention she's getting) ]

Mr Hiyuu, you're trying to seduce me, aren't you?

Just a little.

[Is his cheeky reply, moving his own head a little for maximum comfortable leaning.]

Is it working?

[ he nuzzles against tatsuma ]

Mm, it is. Consider me head over heels. You may do whatever you wish with me, seductress.

[He hums thoughtfully, though it's interrupted by another huff of laughter at the nuzzling.]

I want to do whatever would make you happy right now.

[Tatsuma that's not...

Well, okay.]

[ aha, souji will flip that. he doesn't mind tatsuma's passiveness but he would like tatsuma to also be a little more assertive as well ]

But what would make you happy? And saying doing what will make me happy doesn't count.

[Ah... It's been turned on him. It has him pausing for a short moment, leaning a little more on Souji.]

I'm happy like this, though. [And that's no lie, he really is content enough. His wants are and always have been simple.]

Being with you is enough to make me happy.

Seductive and sappy, I see.

[ he lets out a small laugh and he nuzzles against tatsuma's head ]

... but same here. I'm glad that you're here with me right now.

[He curls up against Souji, all smiles and - yes, blushing, too. Warm.

He'll continue to sit there in silence, happy enough with the closeness and - well, Cream-san purring up a storm certainly isn't a bad thing, either.]
