[ Souji personally hasn't been notified by anyone who was signed up by a glitch, but he does know a lot of people who were signed up by their friends. Most of them were okay with the event after they found out who added their names to the event, or even if they weren't okay with it, they never took out their anger out on Souji. They've relented and left him alone. ]
[ But not Yuri Plisetsky. ]
[ He just gives a silent nod and he figures that it'd be a lot easier to explain the situation if Yu sees the conversation, so Souji hands over his phone to Yu with the thread open. It's currently updated to the part where Souji ends the conversation with Yuri, while he's still discussing with Dante, but it's definitely still a hot mess and it's a mess that Souji did not want to deal with. ]
[ Yu looks at him for only a moment more before taking the phone and scrolling through the thread. His expression doesn't really give anything away, or wouldn't, to anyone who wasn't Souji. But there's the slightest downturn of his lips, so slight it might not even seem like a change of expression if you weren't looking for it.
That didn't go very well, did it.
They had their fair share of unhappy customers, but really, most people had rolled with it, not taking it seriously or even seeing it as the opportunity they'd meant it to be. But Yuri...
Yu feels it's unfair, for Yuri to take it out on his twin. He makes some decent points, but in organizing something that large, it would have been extremely time consuming to reach out individually to every single participant to verify their signup, whether they'd intended to be involved or not. He's asking more than he thinks he is and guilt tripping Souji in so doing. It's not really all that fair.
But Yu doesn't voice those thoughts aloud. At least, not yet. Instead, one of his hands finds one of Souji's, and he twines their pinky fingers together. A gesture from when they were children, something he'd do when he wanted a connection to his brother. It's something he associates with comfort, and he hopes it's the same for Souji. ]
[ Really, Souji isn't blaming Yuri at all about this. He truly understands Yuri's frustrations and anger, and if he was placed in the same situation, he probably might have felt the same (of course, on a much lower scale though). This is a reasonable reaction and Souji accepts fault in this. He knows that there's no point in griping over the past, it's not going to change anything, but he only wishes he knew about this sooner so maybe he could have done something... Then they could have avoided this entire thing. ]
[ Souji exhales through his nose and when Yu entwines their pinkies together, Souji takes this moment to rest his head against his brother's shoulder. He just silently stays there, as he keeps their pinky fingers linked, letting out another small silent sigh. He's not looking for someone to tell him that it's not his fault or anything like that, mostly because he already has accepted the blame, but the comfort he gets from Yu is enough to help lower his stress just by a tiny bit. Just to have someone that Souji can show a tiny bit of weakness to and Yu doesn't even have to do anything. Just stay here until Souji calms down a little and is willing to talk. ]
[ Well. Maybe Yu just can't help feeling a little defensive of his twin, especially since he knows Souji isn't easily brought down in the first place. To see his twin upset at all tugs at his heart.
Without hesitation Yu presses his face into Souji's hair, shutting his eyes and slowly sighing out too. Being close like this is a difficult feeling for him to describe. Something like safety, comfort, right, okay. They haven't gotten to do things like this for ten years. Being able to physically reassure Souji, especially when he's struggled to come up with the right words for ten years while they were apart, is ... a relief. This place, here alone with each other, might be the only place the both of them feel like they can let down their guards, even a little.
He'll stay quiet. Words aren't his strong suit anyway. Instead he'll curl his pinkie just a little and lean into his brother and let Souji stay like this as long as he needs to. ]
[ Just Yu's presence is comforting enough. Even when they were kids, words weren't always needed. Just being able to hold hands and to know that they're always there for each other, to lend a shoulder to lean against or to be someone to hug, that was enough for Souji. ]
[ He lets out a small breath before he finally opens his mouth, finding something to say. ]
... I wish I knew sooner. So I could have done something.
