What about dropping clues through text? See how she replies to some of your jokes or invitations to go out then you can also compare them to how she texts with other people.

It's going to be a little hard since you said that you don't have a poker face but your best bet is to just see how she interacts with you compared to others.

Does she laugh at a lot of your jokes? Does she spend a lot more time with you than others? Does she stand close to you or make physical contact? You have to notice these kind of things.

im not good at making jokes to the point that people will laugh at them...

she really just thinks of me as a friend. i really dont think theres anything like a hidden crush or anything from her

It’s actually all right if she doesn’t have a hidden crush on you. All we need to know is whether or not she’ll be okay with dating you or the idea of it.

I’m pretty sure my boyfriend didn’t have a crush on me but we were good friends and he liked spending time with me. So when I asked him out on a date, he agreed and we decided to get together after that.
