tarotcards | Dream 001 [VIDEO/ACTION IN NEW BARK TOWN]

[The video feed starts off with a really shaky start. The only sound you hear at first is that horrible muffling sound as fingers keep trailing over the mic. It’s clear that the owner has almost no idea what he’s doing. It finally focuses onto a young man with silver hair. He seems pretty calm for someone who just woke up in Johto, but still pretty confused.]

I think I got it on...This looks like one of Yosuke’s handheld game consoles, though I don’t remember a camera on it...

[He ponders to himself for a bit before shrugging, looking towards the camera.]

If this video is going out, does anyone know where I am? It doesn’t look like Inaba or the city...

I’m pretty used to this stuff and I wouldn’t surprised if this was a dream. Not like I didn’t have weird dreams just like this before, but the “mom” thing is new, and that I'm wearing my Inaba school uniform. I probably just fell asleep on the train.

[He shrugs once again, but keeps his small smile on. Weird dreams; he had them before. This wasn’t any worse than when Igor called him in his sleep. This dream was pretty mild compared to the flaming luchadors and the Velvet room, so whatever. Still kinda weird he has his uniform on. He came from the train where he was wearing normal clothes, right? Then what's up with the uni?]

But if anyone can tell me what’s going on, I’ll really appreciate it. Even if it's a dream, I would like to see if I can find any familiar faces...

Huh, never thought about it being a dream. That's totally possible.

But I've probably been here too long for it to be a dream.

How long have you've been here for?

About a week. So I haven't been here that long.

Yeah, that's not that long. Though it still doesn't rule the possibility this is a dream. Either a really long dream or some really long nap.

Can't say I've ever had a dream this long but, I suppose it still could be an answer.

Got any suggestions on how to test this?

Not really, other than the usual pinching.

That is the usual method in movies. Do you think it really works?

Did anyone figure a way out?

Everyone says that if we manage to beat all the gym leaders, we'll be sent home.

Gym leaders? Like the bosses in a game?

Y-yeah. But it's not like I play Pokemon that much or anything, I just picked up a little bit of information about it from a friend is all.

I wasn't accusing you playing it, but it's good to hear that there's some chance to return back home.

I-I guess... I hear the gym leaders are a lot tougher than the ones in the game though.

It's pretty much exactly like a video game. Leveling up and random encounters included.

I haven't played a video game in years, but I remember some things from it. Is there still those annoying NPCs wandering around?

Plenty of those around. If you ever meet a kid named Joey, do not give him your Pokegear number.
