In a dimly lit hospital room, Souji and the team stand before a man (Namatame) in a hospital gown, kneeling on the floor. With his hands to both sides of his head, he begs them to stop and Yosuke bitterly asks what they should do. Chie doesn't understand what he's asking but Kanji explains that they can't let Namatame do whatever he pleases. Yukiko cautiously asks what they're going to do and Yosuke says that he's not going to leave without doing anything. Naoto then brings everyone's attention to the large TV against the wall, commenting that the room must be a luxury suite as most hospital rooms don't normally have one. She remarks that with a TV this size, Namatame can escape into it but once he enters, he may find that there's no way out. Immediately, Chie, Rise, and Yukiko understand that half of the team (Kanji, Naoto, and Yosuke) are in favour of throwing Namatame into the TV, knowing that there's a high chance that he'd die inside the TV world.
Kanji asks if they're just going to turn their backs and walk away and Chie begins to angrily ask what's wrong with them. At this point, Yosuke explains that they only have one chance to do this and that they have to do it now if they want to. If they don't do it, Namatame is going to get off the hook and go around "saving" people again, leading to more innocent people dying like Nanako and Yosuke's senpai (name not mentioned). Yosuke can't let someone like Nanamtame go, not after someone close to him died and not when the killer can't be convicted. Chie tries to reason with Yosuke but he says that they only have to push Namatame into the TV and it's as simple as that. He offers for everyone else to leave the room if they don't want to take part in it but before he goes through with it, he wants to hear Souji's thoughts. Souji tells him to wait for a second to think things through but Yosuke snaps and says that they don't have the time or else the cops will come back. Souji tries to explain that they still don't know the entire story or Namatame's true feelings. Yosuke says that they just hear his true feelings on the TV and asks what Souji didn't understand. Souji says that something is still bothering him about the whole situation and Yosuke just accuses him of stalling. Souji tries to explain that they're missing something but Yosuke gets fed up, saying that he only cares about whether or not they're going to throw Namatame into the TV. Souji yells at everyone to calm the hell down and Yukiko agrees. Yosuke doesn't understand what's there to miss with a "sick bastard" like Namatame but Rise tells everyone that after what happened to Nanako and Dojima, no one is thinking straight right now and the rest of the team finally agrees, taking a deep breath to assess the situation rationally.
